The GPS test (Paper 1: Questions) is a 45-minute paper with around 50 questions worth a total of 50 marks. It covers grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, and spelling-related grammar. Children answer short questions – there is no extended writing. This practice tool covers all seven content domains tested in the exam.
How does practice mode work?
Practice mode gives your child 10 questions at a time with instant feedback and explanations after each answer. They can focus on a specific topic or mix all topics together. Progress is saved on this device so they can pick up where they left off.
How does mock exam mode work?
Mock exam mode simulates the real test with a 45-minute timer. There is no feedback during the exam – children see their results and detailed explanations at the end. This is useful for building exam confidence and time management.
