1. About Bell.Study

Bell.Study is an online marketplace that connects families with qualified, DBS-checked teachers who deliver live group lessons to children via video. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

Family accounts are created by parents or legal guardians who are at least 18 years old. You are responsible for all activity on your account, including bookings made by anyone with access to your account PIN. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep your login credentials secure.

Teacher accounts are created following an application and approval process. Teachers must hold valid qualifications and an Enhanced DBS certificate for the children's workforce.

3. Lessons and Bookings

Lessons are created and delivered by independent teachers, not by Bell.Study. Bell.Study provides the platform and tools but does not employ the teachers or guarantee the quality of any individual lesson.

Each lesson costs £5 per child. Payment is taken from your wallet balance at the time of booking. Wallet top-ups are processed securely via Stripe. A booking is confirmed instantly once your wallet is debited.

You may cancel a booking free of charge up to 1 hour before the scheduled lesson start time. Cancellations made less than 1 hour before the lesson are not eligible for a refund. Cancellation refunds are credited back to your wallet. Wallet funds do not expire.

4. Lesson Recordings

All live lessons are recorded automatically. Recordings are made available as replays to families who booked the lesson. Replays are accessible for up to 12 months. By consenting during registration, you agree to your child appearing in lesson recordings that may be viewed by other families who booked the same lesson.

5. Teacher Cancellations

If a teacher cancels a lesson, all affected families will be notified and receive a full refund credited to their wallet. Bell.Study is not liable for any inconvenience caused by a teacher cancellation.

6. Acceptable Use

You must not use Bell.Study for any unlawful purpose, to harass or harm others, to impersonate another person, or to interfere with the platform's operation. Bell.Study reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

Bell.Study provides the platform on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for any loss arising from the use of the platform, including but not limited to lesson quality, technical issues during live sessions, or data loss. Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
